The Tale of King Arthur
The Tale of King Arthur is well known to all lovers of fantasy. A classic tale filled with all the tropes of a european fantasy tale. Reimagined here, I chose to combine geometric line work with cell shading to create a duality of stained glass and retro, pixel based video games.
Dante's Inferno is one of the most well-known pre-Renaissance literary works. I wanted to create a piece that not only tells the story of each ring of hell, but also told it in a way that shows the descent literally. Like the other pieces in this series, it aims to combine the religious authority of stained glass with the modern geometry of pixel/retro video games.
